Story behind friendship day

In 1935 USA govt killed a man on 1st saturday of Aug,n next day his
bst frnd committed suicide in his memory.so USA govt decided n
declared 1st sunday of evry august as frndship day.

I don't know whether this story is true or not, but it's a nice one. A
friend forwarded me this story via sms.
